Another Puzzle

We had to do this puzzle

I found it easy, this is a really cool picture of a keyboard. How long do you think it took me?
I took a screen shot of it on my computer.

my slithering pathways:)

Today I was painting some pathways from scratch. first off I drew my sketch out of chalk then I started to put patterns in my pathways like lines , and dots , and cant forget the squiggly lines.

This was fun. We made the chalk paint using tapioca flour, water and food colouring. I really enjoyed having 4 colours.
Do you like my painting?

Lighting the Sky with Raspberry Pi

Today we had to read an article about using a thing called a Raspberry Pi to programme a light to light up using a battery and wires.
The children used it to light their lights up for Matariki

The 5 W's of Anzac Day

We had to watch a video about Anzac day. We had to write who , where ,
when , what , and why. This is what I found out.

The Australian and New Zealand soldiers arrived in an
Army boat they were called the Anzacs.

The Army sailed over to the Gallipoli Peninsula.

Every April 25th we have Anzac Day. On April
25th 1915 they landed ashore.

When they went they fought for us in world war one.

They fought for the city called Constantinople so
they could use the canal for their ships.

I felt sad and proud how New Zealand and Australia fought for 9 months.
The sad bit was that 8,000 people died from that battle. The proud part
was that they fought for us in world war one.  I watch in fact two videos
about what Anzac day.

Tell me when did the Australian and the New Zealand soldiers come ashore?

Representing Anzac day Puzzle

This is the puzzle I did, the picture reminds me of Anzac day and makes me feel warm and proud.

The picture has a sunset some poppies and some houses and a hat on top of a gun.
It is representing the people that have died in the wars
how does it make you feel?

Stacked in Alphabetical Order

Our challenge was to build a tower out of something using alphabetical order as we stacked.
I chose to use lego and stacked them using the colours in alphabetical order.

I like how it went from light to dark on my tower.    I felt proud how it was staying up on its own without falling down.    I got this lego from my lego collection.   Can u count how many legos are in the tower?

Anzac - critical thinking

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they
perform for us in our time of need. We ask this in the
name of Jesus Christ our lord and saviour. Amen💖

Camouflage

That is my sister Tessa on the couch. Can you see me in this picture?

What I found easy was? getting in place for my hiding spot.
What I found tricky was? to stay still while the video was recording.
What I would change next time....... the place i was hiding in.

Easter weekend

On Friday our mum printed out some eggs for us to colour. We were colouring
it in because we had to hang it up on the window.

When it came to Easter Sunday we got lots of eggs and put them in a
basket that we tried to weave out of flax but it failed so we just made
it out of paper. After the egg hunt we had hot crossed buns. After we
ate the hot crossed buns we had a big brunch. After brunch we went
on a big long  walk all the way to the surf club and back to our home.

The Easter tradition in Slovakia

In Slovakia men whip women with a pomlazka. A pomlazka is a whip braided with pussy willow twigs. The ritual brings heath and beauty.

In New Zealand we celebrate hot cross buns and a big brunch.

Trespass

What I learnt from the story the boys lied about not seeing the trespass sign, they got caught by the farmer. They got in trouble and the farmer told them the the water hole was dangerous. They offered the farmer to help him. This reminds me of the Easter story of when jesus died for us to forgive us our sins.

senior triathlon

Senior Triathlon

When I woke up on the big day my whole body was shaking
an earthquake. I got so nervous that I wanted to stay home.
But I had to go so I got ready and went to school.

We went to start the Triathlon. We had to wait a long time for
my running part to start. But once I got lined up I ran as fast
as I could. When I was getting to the finish I came 2nd place
and I felt really proud of myself. I was exhausted and felt like
I was dying.

Our team came first place.
